Blitz Catalog Design

9.20.2009 | Portfolio, Print

While working for Blitz Distribution for over 12 years I was in charge of the design + direction, as well as the purchasing of all print catalogs that were produced up to four times annually. I always took a clean aesthetic approach when it came to designing these to ensure the branding on the cover didn’t compete with the branding of all the skate companies on the pages inside. Using special treatments & techniques was very important to me when it came to printing these catalogs — you want your customer to pick the piece up and have it evoke a emotional reaction within them — paper stock, embossing, varnishes & die-cuts are just some of the techniques that can really make all the difference and help you to achieve this reaction.

Pantone 803C  (fluorescent yellow) was used for the cover of this Summer 07 Catalog + a spot
UV over the text and logos leaving the fluorescent yellow with a matte finish.
