A World Without Pros Campaign
9.21.2009 | Portfolio, Print, Web

With pro model skateboard sales diminishing due to shop-branded logo boards sold at lower price points the top distribution companies in the industry decided to join forces and run multiple advertising campaigns targeting this issue — I was in charge of Blitz Distribution’s effort to tackle this problem.
The Solution.
After talking to the president of Blitz Distribution I decided to take existing photography that had already ran in print (images that customers were familiar with) advertising and remove the skateboarder in post production via Photoshop showing the visual impact of what it would be like if there were no pro skateboarders anymore. The campaign ran in domestic & international magazines proving to be very effective, increasing pro model skateboard sales once again. I also built a small Flash based micro-site that included testimonials from three top professional skateboarders expressing why you shouldn’t purchase a shop-branded logo board and purchase pro-branded skateboards instead.
